Tamara Newmoon

Executive Director

Tell me Tamara, what do you pursue? “My dreams”.

It began in 1979. But for the sake of space we’ll begin in 2001. Two months before completing her Bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology, Tamara began having dreams of performing. These dreams had a unique quality- they were full of people and places she did not know. The dreams continued. Synchronicities from the dream world and waking life began to merge. Then one event after another, led a performing company called The Living Tarot into her life. Nothing was ever the same. Two weeks after her college graduation, the tour bus, full of 16 colorfully talented and wildly eager people, pulled out of Austin, TX and hit the road. Tamara toured with The Living Tarot for 2 years. Through the course of time, she became very involved both as a performer and in the production of the company. On the second year of tour, Tamara was orchestrating Bookings, Promotion, and Community Outreach. Through the transformative process that these tours became, Tamara knew that she had found her calling.

As an Herbalist, Tamara’s close relationship to plants has brought her to a deep connection with archetypal energies. She is an Herbal Tarot reader, and through this medium has read for individuals and companies across the US. Tamara is currently the Executive Director, a performer, transformer, and visionary of Lola Tarot.

Kenny Telesco

Artistic Director

Kenny has been working professionally in theatre, film and television since 1980. He trained at The State University of New York at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance, The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Centers' National Theatre Institute in Waterford, Connecticut, and The San Francisco Bay Area Internship Program. He has worked in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Buffalo, Santa Fe and Austin, and has been involved in various national and regional tours. Primarily an actor, Kenny has also worked as a director, producer, stage manager, choreographer, dancer, production assistant, stagehand, technician, and teacher of all ages. To date, one of his most satisfying and fulfilling theatrical experiences has been acting on tour for seven months with The Living Tarot, an Austin based improvisational performance company. Kenny is also currently working as an actor with Effective Arts, a Seattle based organization that uses improvisational theatre techniques to bring positive change into the educational and corporate workplace, and with The Threshold Ensemble, a theatre company employing the format of Playback Theatre to explore and facilitate human transformation through the sharing of our collective stories. Kenny is thrilled and delighted to be serving as the Artistic Director for Lola Tarot!

Michael Ricciardi

Lighting Design/Audio Visual Technician

Michael Ricciardi is an Arts & Sciences educator, curator, poet, and inter-media artist living in Seattle, Washington. He has worked as a science reporter/interviewer, ecology/natural science instructor, and field research assistant for an entomologist. As a poet, Michael has given numerous spoken word performances. He currently performs as chaosmosis, a collaborative performance project of spoken word, video, and music, with local sound artist/composer Ffej. Michael's writing has been published in many magazines and journals, and he has produced two award winning 'video poems.' His most recent video poem was selected for screening at the 7th International Meeting of Visual & Sound Poetry in Buenos Aires. Michael has received two Allen Foundation for the Arts grants, and he is the co-designer (with Peter Oppenheimer) of the Dynamic Visual Poetry Landscape System (DVPLS), a virtual/new media fusion of spoken, written, and visual poetry.
